Our other low-frame classic e-bike model Helkama E-Ainotar takes you effortlessly from one bike path to another. Made at Helkama’s bicycle plant in Hanko.

E-Ainotar features the reliable and easy-to-use Shimano Steps system. The E5000 motor assists your travel with 40Nm of torque. The almost silent and compact drive unit with a torque sensor offers natural handling and makes comfortable cycling possible. The 11.6Ah 418Wh battery has power even for longer shopping trips, range with a single charge up to 150km*.

The easy-to-read SC-E5000 display shows you the assist level, speed, distance and battery charge, among other things. The display (size 3.5 cm) also works as a selection switch for adjusting the three assist levels (ECO, NORMAL, HIGH) up or down and turning the lights on. In addition, you can select the walk assist mode for walking the bike, with the motor offers small but sufficient assist, for example when walking the bike uphill.

The standard equipment also includes an effective HR drum brake, LED lights, front basket and frame lock. E-Ainotar, unlike e-Aino, has bigger and narrower Schwalbe 28” (47-622) tyres that roll a degree smoother in the city. The tyres are puncture-protected and therefore endure loose gravel on pavement while they also work well on gravel paths.

The electric assist mode and maximum battery capacity/range estimates are based on Shimano’s original test results, in which the total weight of the cyclist and bicycle was 100kg and the speed used in the test was 23 km/h on a flat road.
