The Helkama E3 urban city bike is a low-frame e-bike with three speeds and comprehensive accessories. The bicycle offers all the essential accessories for effortless daily use in urban conditions, and it is suited for many, thanks to its low leg rise height.

The E3 has a comfortable upright riding position that you can modify with the easily adjusted stem. The e-bike features the almost maintenance-free Shimano Nexus 3 hub gear that is easy to use.

Reliable Shimano technology

Pedalling is assisted by the Shimano E5000 mid-mount motor with 40 Nm of torque up to a speed of 25 km/h with comfortable handling.

A cadence sensor in the bottom bracket measures the pedal speed, and the motor offers more assistance when pedalling faster. The torque sensor, in turn, measures the user’s pedalling force by continuously monitoring the chain tightness, and when the rider pedals heavier, it tells the motor to assist more.

The E3 e-bike is equipped with a Shimano 418 Wh battery. The battery, mounted on the pannier rack, can be easily removed for charging. You can also charge the battery while it is fitted to the bike.

The easy-to-read SC-E5000 display shows you the assist level, speed, distance and battery charge, among other things. The display also works as a selection switch for adjusting the three assist levels. In addition, you can choose the walk assist mode for walking the bike. The motor offers small but sufficient assist, for example when walking the bike uphill.

Comprehensive accessories

The comprehensively equipped E3 features all the basic bike accessories. The Helkama E3 urban e-bike is fitted with mudguards, frame lock, kickstand and front and rear lights. The bicycle also has an Atran Velo pannier rack compatible with AtranVeloSystem baskets and bags.
