Making commuting by bicycle a pleasure!

Choose the right company bike.
Commuting by bicycle is possible with a wide range of bikes; choose one that matches your needs and journeys. Many people get an e-bike so that they can adjust the speed as needed and there is no need to worry about sweating. Hybrid and city bikes are popular among conventional bicycles, but there’s nothing stopping you from commuting along the trails on a mountain bike. Make sure that the bicycle is the right size and have it maintained regularly.
Be properly equipped.
Check the weather forecast in the morning and get equipped accordingly. It is a good idea to take waterproof shell clothing with you if there is any risk of rain. Even though it gets warm when riding a bike, your hands and toes may get chilly in cool weather. Pannier bags are an excellent purchase to avoid a backpack causing you to sweat and pressing on the back. Don’t forget the reflectors, as well as the front and rear lights and a proper lock!

Build a smooth routine.
Find a smooth bike route to work: explore maps and try out alternative routes. The shortest is not always the best! Learn at least one standard route with which you can easily estimate how long it takes. Always reserve a little extra time: it’s not comfortable to pedal in a hurry and there can be surprises on the way. Do not wait for the most beautiful days for cycling. When your equipment is in order, cycling is nice even in slightly worse weather.
Make your commute a little trip.
Sometimes you should deviate from the standard route. Sometimes after work, take a detour for a slightly longer ride. Stop for ice cream on the way home or take swimwear with you in case there’s a suitable spot for dipping nearby. Enjoy the freedom of commuting by bicycle!

Enjoy some personal time.
Commuting by bicycle is the “best rite of passage” between work and leisure. So, enjoy some personal time and outdoors that the commute offers: observe how the surrounding landscape changes with the seasons and let your thoughts roam freely.
