Complaints should primarily be handled through the seller or the seller’s authorised service agent. Remember to take the receipt or proof of purchase with you when handling the matter.
Bike maintenance
The first maintenance is the most important maintenance for a new bike, whether or not you have assembled the bike yourself. The parts of the bike are finally put in place after the first few rides.
During the first few hundred kilometres, the bike’s factory-fitted parts are broken in, cables and bolts may become loose. A comprehensive first service should therefore be carried out after about 300 km or about 2 months.
If you have an e-bike, a reminder will appear on the display when you need to take it in for service. After maintenance, the notification will be reset and a new riminder will be set. A professional bike service can extend the service period or change it from mileage to time.
During the service, the following are checked, among other things:
- Tension of spokes
- Brake and gear adjustments
- Fitting of accessories such as mudguards
Seasonal maintenance: have your e-bike checked out a professional regularly, every 1000-2000 km or at least once a year.
Full maintenance: thorough maintenance every few years or every 5,000-6,000 km.
We recommend that you have your bike checked by a professional bike repair shop.
How to maintain your bike at home
By regularly maintaining and cleaning your bike, you will extend the life of your bike.
Wash your bike regularly with clean water, even if it’s only slightly dirty, and especially if you’ve ridden it in muddy or dirty conditions. You should also clean your bike in winter, as salting the roads can damage your bike.
You can use a soft brush or sponge and a cleaning cloth to clean your bike. Detergents are also available for washing bicycles.
- After washing, dry the bike and its parts: long-term exposure to moisture can cause corrosion. In freezing temperatures, moisture can cause freezing of the transmission, levers, buttons, etc.
- The painted surface of the bicycle frame can be protected, e.g. with car wax
- Do not wash the bike with a pressure washer and do not direct the water shower directly at the electric parts, battery or motor of the e-bike
You should also do at least these:
- Check and inflate the tyres at regular frequency
- Clean and oil the chains as necessary
